“BILLY LAMONT - BEYOND BABYLON” -

Poetry At The Movies: Multimedia performance poet Billy Lamont will perform his engaging and innovative poetry, that was written as living in and contains imaginary of Babylon village,  - LIVE! - synchronized with stunning immersive film, and original electronic music!

The BEYOND BABYLON multimedia performance poem songs were inspired by the Holy Bible Psalm, “By the waters of Babylon I wept  for Zion.” It was written and recorded as Lamont was living in the village of Babylon as he was traveling through some personal  suffering, while maintaining joy and strength, as being a single Father to his son Zion.

These poem songs have such titles as “argyle park” and “like marconi..:SOS (save our soul,) drawn from local places and experiences.

One month later Hurricane Sandy unexpectedly devastated his hometown of Babylon and neighboring towns, forever giving new meaning to this art as hope and comfort for the local community, and people suffering devastation and loss everywhere.

BEYOND BABYLON as a multimedia show is a Sacred Pop Art sensory experience at its very best!!! Not to be missed!

Lamont has memories of seeing movies at the South Bay Cinema since he was a child, with his brother, and is looking forward to sharing this special night with all attending! :)! <3
